Cookies in Plain Terms

Cookie notices are often long because the sites behind them use a great many cookies. This one is short, because Host Rehberi uses almost nothing.

What we do not use

There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no social media cookies and no tracking pixels on this site. We do not run visitor statistics tools, and no outside company receives information about your visit through us.

The one thing we store

When the banner appears and you press accept or decline, your browser saves that answer using a feature called local storage. It works much like a cookie but is never sent to a server with your page requests. Its only purpose is to stop the banner from asking again on every page you open.

The entry holds your choice and nothing else. It does not contain your name, your IP address or any identifier, and we cannot read it from our side.

Why the banner appears at all

Since there is nothing to opt into, you might wonder why we ask. We prefer to say clearly what a site does on your device rather than leave you guessing, and the banner is the most visible place to do that. Whether you accept or decline, the site works exactly the same.

How to remove the stored choice

You can clear it whenever you like:

  1. Open your browser's settings and look for privacy, site data or cookies.
  2. Find the entry for this site, or choose to clear data for all sites.
  3. Delete it. The banner will simply ask you again on your next visit.

Private or incognito windows usually clear this data automatically when you close them.

Other sites you reach from here

A few articles link to other websites. Those sites make their own decisions about cookies and tracking, and their banners and policies apply as soon as you arrive there. If you want to limit what they store, most browsers let you block third-party cookies or clear data automatically when you close a tab.

If anything changes

Should we ever add a feature that uses cookies, this page and our data protection page will be updated before it goes live, and the banner will explain the new choice. Questions are welcome through our contact page. Last updated: October 2026.
